RE: Northern Maryland

You might even see a few eagles at the State Park. Conowingo Dam would be about a 35 minute drive from Elk Neck which is your best bet. Slim pickens around here for CG's.

RE: fuel stop advice

FJ I-95 exit 100 in Maryland is very easy in and out. It is local for me. I take the MH there to dump and fill propane and fuel. FJ at exit 106 Kenly NC is new and very RV friendly.

RE: Atlantic City RV show

Fall shows usually are a little dismal, no matter where they are. Now with the RV industry scaling back it's filtered down to the shows also. Even the Hershey show was scaled down so I am told. Floor space is extremely expensive at these shows. With RV sales being way down, some dealers have decided not to attend at all. Those who do, take what they think they can sell. One dealer who rented what I would guess the most amount of space at the NJ shows is now out of business. As we all know, getting financing can be a nighmare for some folks right now. This also has adds to the problems. Same thing in the boating industry. I know a dealer who sold 5 boats at a show last month. He ended up with approved financing on 1 of them. As a rule Winter shows are much better than Fall shows. You see no Camp Ground booths at the Fall show because they are still open. As far as not seeing many accessories at the shows, Mom and Pop can't compete with the "Wally World" of the industry so they are gone. This is just the way I see it.

RE: Are you going to be around Delaware this weekend?

Just got back this morning from "The Chunk". What a hoot!!! Great time. Highly recommend it. Can't believe the mess people left behind in the camping area though. Someone even left an old sofa.

RE: Big Oaks Family Campground, Rehoboth Beach,Delaware

As I have stated in the past...Not the best but good enough for me. The only CG left right in town. Good cable and wifi. Nice owners. Better book soon. Sites in July and August are hard to get.

RE: Avoid Chesapeake Bay Bridge/US 50

WOW, Talk about a traffic mess!!! I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that area this week end. Glad I'm on the Eastern Shore. Thanks for passing the word.

RE: Amish Country PA area campgrounds

Hershey puts you mostly out of Amish country. Spring Gulch is very nice and very close to the Amish. Country Haven CG gives you a glorious vew of Amish Farms and the rolling countryside. Several other CG's in the area also. I'm sure other folks will add to this thread.
